Services & Appointments

How do I become a client at Aesthetics by Tay?

We would love to have as many clients as possible, but are limited to how many new clients we can accept (ABT is a one woman show lol)! We are all about getting our clients results & we have perfected our plan in doing just that!

To become a client at ABT, we place all clients on a proper and custom home care routine first and foremost before we ever perform treatments on them! (must be on home care for 6-8 weeks prior to receiving treatments). This is not only for client's safety to reduce the risk of a reaction occuring, but to also get clients the best results possible. Results are 80% what you do at home and 20% what we do in the treatment room! We want to get clients RESULTS + provide long term skin support and this is the best way to ensure we do!

To begin this process, simply fill out the client form that applies to you. If you are acne prone, even slightly, please fill out an acne bootcamp form! We will contact you once a spot becomes available to do a consultation with you to get you started on your new home care regimen!

We understand some clients may be looking for a "one time" appointment for a special occasion, in this case, we can kindly refer you out for this!

What are your policies? (cancellations, appointments, etc.)

-I kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. No shows are charged 100% of the service fee & no longer able to book in the future.

-Cancellations under 24 hours notice are charged 50% of the service fee.

-No guests are permitted at your appointment, unless otherwise discussed with your esthetician ahead of time. This includes children, strictly for their safety!

-Please arrive on time to your appointment (not early or late), arrivals 15 minutes past the appointment start time will have to be rescheduled so that we can stay on time for other clients throughout the day.

-Please do not send DMs via Instagram stating that you need to cancel your appointment. Please use our text line, or email so that we can be sure to see the message, as we are not always able to be on social media.

-Please refrain from being on your phone during treatments. This is not only for safety, but also to prevent the treatment from being paused which can result in falling behind schedule.

-If you have a sunburn on the facial area, we must reschedule your appointment to another time when the sunburn has healed.

Do you accept walk-ins or are appointments required?

All services are by appointment only to ensure every client receives personalized care and dedicated time.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

Yes! I offer virtual acne consultations so you can begin your clear skin journey no matter where you’re located. This includes a full skin analysis, product recommendations, and a customized treatment plan. Clients are typically able to get just as clear without treatments, in some cases it may take slightly longer to reach desired results.

Acne Bootcamp

What is Acne Bootcamp?

It’s a proven, customized acne-clearing system that combines professional treatments with acne-safe homecare products. I work with you closely to adjust your routine over time and get you clear—without prescriptions or harsh medications.

How long does it take to start seeing results?

Most clients begin to see noticeable improvements within 8–12 weeks, depending on the severity of their acne and consistency with home care. Clear skin is possible with commitment and trust in the process!

Do I have to use Face Reality products to be part of your acne program?

Yes, because consistency and ingredient safety are key. I only recommend acne-safe, non-comedogenic products that are proven to work within the program. Outside products may slow your progress or cause breakouts.

Can your acne program help if I’ve already tried dermatologists or prescription medications?

Absolutely. Many of my clients come to me after feeling frustrated with medications or harsh treatments. I take a more holistic, supportive approach to healing your skin from the inside out and the outside in.

Do you treat hormonal or cystic acne?

Yes. I specialize in all types of acne, including hormonal and cystic. We’ll address your skin topically and also look at possible lifestyle  factors that may be contributing.

Skincare Products

Do you ship products nationally or only locally?

I ship both locally and nationwide! You can shop through my website and have your skincare delivered right to your door.

Can I purchase skincare products without being a client?

Yes, but I highly recommend booking a consultation so I can make sure the products you’re using are the right fit for your skin and goals. Actives are only available to clients under direct care of ABT (any products that are unavailable to non clients will have a note listed under their description).

If you need help building a routine, questions answered/ongoing support, you will need to join our subscription program.

Before & Aftercare

What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

Come with clean skin and avoid using active ingredients (like retinol or exfoliants) 48 hours before your appointment. If this is your first visit, please make sure a client form has been filled out online at least 24 hours prior to your appointment start time. 

What should I avoid after a facial or treatment?

Avoid makeup, working out, sun exposure, and exfoliating products for at least 24–48 hours. I’ll provide you with detailed aftercare instructions based on your specific treatment.

Can I wear makeup after my treatment?

It’s best to let your skin breathe for at least 24 hours. If you must wear makeup, stick to acne-safe, non-comedogenic options.

I specialize in working with clients who have struggled to find real answers or results for their acne. I provide personalized care, ingredient education, and real support—without judgment or cookie-cutter treatments! I also stay on top of continuing education, as the field of skincare is forever changing & I understand how important it is to always keep learning. 

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes! You can purchase digital or physical gift cards for services or products. They make the perfect gift for someone who wants to invest in their skin!

Do you work with pregnant or breastfeeding clients?

Yes, I offer pregnancy-safe skincare and will customize your treatment plan to ensure it’s safe and effective during every stage. Acne Bootcamp can also be modified to be pregnancy safe - I have cleared multiple clients during their pregnancy.

How can I contact you with questions between appointments?

You’re always welcome to email me, or use our text line. I do my best to respond within 24–48 hours on business days.

I have a special event coming up—how soon should I book a facial?

Ideally, book your facial at least 1–2 weeks before your event to allow time for your skin to calm and glow. If you’re new, I recommend starting treatments a few months ahead to build up your skin health (especially brides, it is best to begin 6 months prior to your wedding date).
